BANG - Edition 01.
 
The maiden publication by the reMARK team is put on sale from 28/06/10 onwards in the faculty as a fund raising initiative. This business knowledge magazine consists of latest articles from reputed business magazines such as Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg Markets and Entrepreneur.

reMARK - The Official Launch of The Association and The website.

The official ceremony was held with the patronage of the department head and all other lecturers in the department to mark the official launch of the students' body and the website on 13/07/10.

Learning Circle Session 01 - "Buffet and Gates go back to school" documentary screening.
 
As going by the objective of promoting new ways of learning, the reMARK team organised the first ever learning circle in the faculty with the participation of students and department lecturers.The event was held at 22/07/2010 at the conference hall in the Faculty. The PBS video documentary about Bill Gate's and Warren Buffet's visit to University of Nebraska was screened there and discussion with students and lecturers followed afterward.

Learning Circle Session 02 - "Clash of the Planets" by Ruwandhi Perera
 
2nd session of our learning circle series kicked of on 04th August 2010 at Hall no 03 in the Faculty with the participation of Lecturers ;Mrs. Ruwangi Chandrasekara. Ms. Gamithri Karunasena and some of the students in the faculty. Our reMARK member Ruwandi Perera did a wonderful and insightful presentation about the topic gender based marketing and 15 minutes discussion followed after-wards.

"Effective Business Presentations and Body Language" - A presentation conducted by Mr. Niranjan De Silve, CEO of Metropolitan Group of Companies  
 
The reMARK team organized a special session on body language and effective presentation skills by the patronage of Mr. Niranjan De Silva on 20th of August 2010 at the Faculty. The presentation was a huge success and it was well received by the undergrads as well.

Learning Circle Session 03 - "The Biggest Show Offs in 2010" by DRG
The showcase of this year's Cannes Lions Advertising Award winners was conducted by DRG on 7th September 2010 in Hall no 03. Large number of senior and junior undergrads attended the even and was concluded successfully. For the first time reMARK has attempted mixed language advertising and promotions for this project.

Teacher's Day Celebrations - Commemoration of October 05th World Teacher's Day 

A flyer has specially designed and given to the department lecturers by the students of the reMARK team as a token of appreciation for their effort in molding future generation of Sri Lanka.

This 2nd edition is solely distributed via internet as a ezine and it comprises of articles from recent editions of reputed magazines such as Harvard Business Review, Entrepreneur and Fast Company. The zine is distributed among the lecturers and students through e-mail.

Introduction of reMARK to the 3rd Years and launch of reMARK Juniors webspace (16/12/2010)

After the new batch (2008/2012) of students are enrolled to the 3rd year in marketing stream, the reMARK team organized a special 1 hour induction program to communicate the idea behind reMARK, its origin, the previous projects of reMARK and specially the launch of their own webspace, reMARK juniorz (http://remarkspherejr.blogspot.com). Demonstration of how to use this webspace is also done and our 4th year colleague, Poorna Manushka did a presentation on how to select relevant subject courses to complete credits criteria which are given to both 3rd and 4th year. A Youtube online video channel is also launched with this induction program which is named reMARKvideosphere (http://www.youtube.com/user/reMARKvideosphere). The e-mail addresses of all the new entrants for the 3rd year are collected and added to the official e-mail database (reachremark@gmail.com) and now they are enable to receive any updates, news or any new things happening in reMARK through e-mail. Few students from 3rd year are chosen and given the responsibility to manage their own webspace and e-mail communication medium and special training on managing blogs and other online resources is also given by The reMARK team.

BANG Edition 04 (Special Anniversary Edition)
 
To mark the first year anniversary of reMARK, a special edition of BANG zine is issued containing original articles which are written by the 4th year undergrads in the marketing department. The hard copies of the zine are distributed among the lecturers and e-zine is circulated among students via e-mail.

Learning Circle 04 - "How to Brand Yourself" by Ruwandi Perera

Ruwandi Perera discussed about Tom Peters ideas about branding and her personal views about how the branding can be used in day to day life to promote our own self. The circle held at Hall no 10 on 20/06/2011 with the participation of nearly 30 students.

Learning Circle 05 - Brand Auditing by Varuni Rathnasiri (3rd Year reMARK Junior)

Varuni shared her experiences in Unilever Sri Lanka on how to do a brand audit with the fellow undergrads on 8/8/2011 at hall no 06. The event is fully organized by the reMARK juniors team with the supervision of reMARK Seniors.

The reMARK Team 2007/2008 tenure begins

After a one successful year The reMARK Team 2006/2007 stepped down from thier duties at the end of their 4th Year on 19/09/2011 and passed the torch to the new committee of 2007/2008.
